Great article in The Guardian:
Smarter working 2014: Eggnogg
‘In order to grow the company, I made the decision to invest in putting people in place that were better at the jobs I wasn’t good at’
Name: Eggnogg
Based: Bristol
Website: www.eggnogg.co.uk
Eggnogg specialises in award-winning colour-in products for children.
Like many small businesses I started Eggnogg by taking on every part of the business myself. When the business had a huge growth spurt a couple of years ago, I realised I was getting snowed under with everything. The phrase ‘Jack of all trades, master of none’ came to mind.
In order to grow the company, I made the decision to invest in putting people in place that were better at the jobs I wasn’t good at. Once I’d let go of those areas of the business, which was difficult at first, it allowed me to dedicate myself to the part I really enjoyed – the product design – leaving the sales, marketing, accountancy, PR and fulfilment to the professionals!
As a result, the business is running much more efficiently with a higher turnover and increasing profitability.

Best picnic essentials!
Picnics are a fun and and cheap way to bring family and friends together, if your worried how to keep the children entertained, this picnic blanket will help not just once but many times to come. The blanket is complete washable and comes with a set of washable fabric pens. The blanket features an array of quirky characters and endearing illustrations by designer Kate Edmunds for kids to colour-in, including towering cakes, fantastical fruit, the odd bucket and spade and plenty of pesky insects.
Adults are going Colour-in Crazy!
With a best selling colouring in book for adults at top of the Amazon charts, adults really love colouring in!
Have a look at the fun these adults are having at a colouring in party!
Choose from a Colour-in Countryside, Doodle Dinnertime or Naughty Tablecloth (this really is for adults only!). Is keeps them quiet and content for ages (well perhaps until the wine runs out!)
Why not hold your own? it’s great fun!
Summer in Spring
Behind the scenes…..
Here’s a sneak peak behind the scenes at our PR product shoot this week. With photographer, Silkie from Rosehip, and Gina from Fable Media.
Early morning and the sun is shining. With tipi, picnic blanket and props in hand we headed to a lovely cottage garden.
We picked a green corner of the garden with evergreens and relatively green grass and dressed the set. With our lovely little model in place we had created a beautiful #colouringin picnic on a nippy March day. Watch this space for the fabulous results!
Happy Spring-time!
My lovely friend’s father always told me to spend a few minutes every day leaning up against the garden gate and simply observe life. I did just that this morning and admired these colourful little chaps who had just popped out on the hill near work. There wasn’t a garden gate to lean unfortunately but some black railings did the trick. It will soon be warm enough to observe life from the comfort of our Colour-in Picnic Blanket. Always stop for a few minutes a day and watch the world go by.
Happy World Book Day 2015!
