Eggnogg Cracks Dragon’s Shell
Eggnogg founder, Kate Edmunds has received the accolade of winning the latest round of Theo Paphitis’ Small Business Sunday (#SBS) awards, which were officially announced on Monday, 11 August. This news follows the brand’s recent selection as a finalist for the ‘Flexible Business of the Year’ in themumsandworking awards; a national award scheme that recognises the companies and individuals showcasing how flexible working can succeed, and receiving the Supreme Innovation & Design Award in June for their NEW Colour-in Kit Bag.
Designing creative gifts, party supplies, and quirky colour-in products for all ages, Eggnogg products challenge the senses through colour, texture and humour. Since launching in 2009, Eggnogg now trades through over 185 outlets in the UK, with global distributors in the US and Australia.
Earlier this year, Eggnogg launched a new flexible work scheme that enables fellow parents to represent the brand, setting their own hours and governing their own earnings.
Commenting on this recent wave of awards, Kate says: “When I first set-up Eggnogg, I had no idea what lay ahead. I’m thrilled that both Eggnogg products and my own achievements have been recognised in these awards. I have enjoyed every minute of the journey so far and whilst juggling business with parenting has been hard-work at times, it has enabled me to create a work-life balance that I desired, and through our new employment scheme, we hope to do the same for others”.
Kate now has to wait two months, when she will find out whether Eggnogg has won the mumsandworking award, which will be taking place on 16 October 2014.

Bristol based, creative gift and greeting cards business, Eggnogg has received the accolade of winning the award for ‘Best Innovation in Print / Message / Design’ in the Supreme Innovation & Design Award 2014 for their NEW Colour-in Kit Bag.
Staving off stiff competition from the likes of London Fashion Week, Debenhams, Bombay Sapphire, Bare Minerals and River Island, Eggnogg’s Colour-in Kit Bag eggcelled, receiving a unanimous vote from the panel of judges. The Supreme Innovation & Design Awards celebrate the best in design and impact, by top global brands through sustainable bags, gifts with purchase and packaging.
The Indian themed summer awards party was hosted in London’s Royal Automobile Club on 23 June and brought together CEOs and Marketing Directors from top global brands, to celebrate their innovations. A judging panel comprised five esteemed business men and women including: John Miln (CEO UK Fashion & Textile Association), Jackie Cooper (Global Chair, Creative Strategy Edelman), Karl-Heinz Müller (President, Bread & Butter), Nadja Swarovski (Member of theSwarovski Executive Board), and Richard Woolley (Studio Director, Design Research – Land Rover).
Commenting on the award, Eggnogg’s founder, Kate Edmunds says: ‘Sustainability is important to us and is embedded in our ethos.
